Back to Area Information Eastpoint Eastpoint, an unincorporated yet vital area of Franklin County is located just across the bay from both Apalachicola and St. George Island and is a vital community along the Forgotten Coast.
Eastpoint is the central point of the Forgotten Coast, where one can truly savor the feeling of being untouched by today's world. Seafood docks stretch across the majority of the small waterfront community and multitudes of fishing and shrimp boats dot the horizon of the bay's view.
Similar to the tranquil atmosphere of Apalachicola, Eastpoint hosts numerous antique houses and buildings still standing after hundreds of years. It also has many businesses, restaurants and locales not available on the nearby Island of St. George, including the Franklin County Library. Another favorite for family visitors is Eastpoint's Putt n Fuss - the area's only lighted 18-hole miniature golf course, complete with arcade, bumper boats, pool tables and ice-cream parlor.
Eastpoint serves as the gateway to St. George Island by route of CR 300. The three-mile bridge that carries one from Eastpoint to the Island is a favorite view for Forgotten Coast visitors. With two separate bays beneath the bridge, oyster beds and multitudes of barrier rocks separating the rougher waters from the a calm tide, the sight is picture perfect on any given day.
